Cordial

[ Your Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, as plain USB. ]

Cordial turns a small, inexpensive microcontroller board into an adapter that pairs with your Bluetooth keyboards and mice and presents them to the computer as ordinary USB devices. The computer needs no Bluetooth radio, no drivers, and no software running in the background.

Pairings and preferences are stored on the adapter, so your devices move with it from one computer to another. Input forwarding happens on the adapter; the desktop app and CLI are only for setup and status.

  • Runs on the Raspberry Pi Pico W, Pico 2 W, Waveshare RP2350B-Plus-W, and Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 (Low Energy only).
  • Bluetooth connections survive host sleep, and nothing typed meanwhile is replayed on wake.
  • Special keys on Logitech HID++ keyboards and mice are translated for Linux, Windows, or macOS.
  • Adjustable backlight, DPI, SmartShift, and scroll direction, with battery level reporting.
  • A desktop tray app, plus a CLI with an interactive shell, one-shot commands with JSON output, and a full-screen TUI.
  • Packaged for Arch, Debian, and Ubuntu, with an AppImage and tarballs for other distributions.
